West-Central Illinois Congressman Hopes For More River Improvements

(Springfield, IL)  --  West-central Illinois' congressman says he hopes 10 million-dollars in upgrades to the LaGrange Lock and Dam on the Illinois River is just the beginning.  Congressman Darin LaHood yesterday said the Army Corps of Engineers announced that it will fix the dam sometime this year.  LaHood says there are three billion-dollars in needs on the Illinois, Ohio, and Mississippi rivers.  But he's not sure when those needs will be addressed.
