Ram Trucks Recalled Over Tailgate Problem
(Auburn Hills, MI) -- Over one-million Ram pickup trucks are being recalled due to a problem with the tailgate lock. Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles officials say an internal part of the power activated latch could break and allow the tailgate to unlatch. The affected models are Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 pickups built between 2015 and 2017. Trucks with a manual lock on the tailgate are not part of the recall. Owners are being advised to lock down all cargo they put in the bed of the pickup until their vehicle is repaired. FCA says they have not received any word of injuries due to the problem.
