Traffic Stop Results In Canton Womans Arrest

(Canton, IL)  --  A traffic stop in Canton last week resulted in the arrest of a Canton woman.  Police say they stopped the vehicle in an alley in the 300 block betwen West Spruce and West Locust Streets on Monday night of last week. Officers say they observed 42-year old stephanie Wooddell driving the vehicle and knew she was wanted on a 2018 Fulton County Warrant for escape and then conducted the stop.  Wooddel was arrested and taken to the Canton Police Department where she was processed for the warrant.  She was unable to post bond.  Wooddell was later taken to the Fulton County Jail in Lewistown.

Canton Woman Arrested For Active Warrant

(Canton, IL)  --  Canton police say they arrested a Canton woman on Park Court earlier this month.  Officers say they observed 33-year old Sara Stear in the 300 block of Park Court Wednesday of last week and knew she was wanted on a 2018 Fulton County Warrant for possession of methamphetamine.  She was arrested and taken to the Canton Police Department where she was processed for the warrant. Stear was unable to post bond and was later taken to the Fulton County Jail in Lewistown.

Warrant Results In Canton Mans Arrest

(Canton, IL)  --  A Canton man wanted on a warrant was arrested last week in Canton. Police say they observed 27-year old Arthur Finley walking in the 100 block of East Elm Street on late last Monday afternoon.  Authorities say that Finley was wanted on a 2018 Fulton County Warrant, failure to appear for possession of a controlled substance.  Finley was arrested and taken to the Canton Police Department where he was processed for the warrant.  He was unable to post bond.  Finley was later taken to the Fulton county Jail in Lewistown.

Canton Woman Turns Self In On Valid Warrant

(Canton, IL)  --  A Canton woman wanted on an active warrant turned herself in to authorities in Canton last week.  Police say that early Thursday morning, 32-year old Jill Hasty turned her self in on a 2013 Fulton County Warrant, failure to appear for a DUI.  Hasty was then arrested and processed for the warrant.  She posted a $300 cash bond and a $20 processing fee.  Hasty was then released and given a September Fulton County Court date in Lewistown.

Standoff Leads To Arrest In Davenport

(Davenport, IA)  --  Nobody is injured after a standoff in Davenport with a suspect wanted on multiple charges.  Police say Craig Holmes engaged them in a standoff that took place last Thursday morning in the 39-hundred block of Pine Street.  Authorities had to box Holmes in after they saw him reaching for stuff in his vehicle.  Holmes surrendered and among the charges he faces for alleged crimes earlier this summer include third-degree burglary.

Rock Island Police Look For Shooting Suspect

(Rock Island, IL)  --  Rock Island Police say they think they know who pulled the trigger in a Saturday shooting.  They just don't know where the suspect is.  Deputy Chief Jason Foy says the shooter opened fire on a group of men playing basketball Saturday night.  The victim is expected to live.
