Thyroid Medicine Recall
(Washington, DC) -- A thyroid medicine is being recalled because a Chinese manufacturer that made most of its ingredients failed inspection. The voluntary national recall alert issued says that no "adverse events" are associated with its recall. Officials say that patients should continue taking the medicine until they have proper replacements. More than four-point-five percent of the U.S. population suffers from an under-active or over-active thyroid which can effect weight and mood.
