New Law Could Mean Two Year License Plates In Illinois


(Springfield, IL)  --  There's good news for drivers, Illinois is looking at a two-year license plate renewal schedule.  But it won't happen for at least three years.  Governor Rauner signed a new law over the weekend that allows for two-year renewals, but not until 2021.  The law gives Illinois' Secretary of State time to figure out how to make an every other year renewal system work.
